Not accurate ones anyways....

It especially has problems with removable drives and depending on the filesystem, can be way off or non existent. I don't even bother asking these days because I have seen 5 hours turn into 5 minutes and vice-versa.

Just saw this.

Well, that clarifies a lot then, power went down, one hard-drive in the matrix went dead on the os, os didn't care for the situation. If that's the case, then the hdd is just fine (provided it's powered) and fsck should run [pretty] spotless.

Jives with the "bought this expensive hardware precisely to protect ppl from this sort of situation" complaint too, it woudln't be the hard-drive's fault.

Certainly sounds a lot better than mere mysterious hard drive failure. Let's hope for the best eh

Hi Matt,
I host sites on other hosts also, recently one host got hacked and it took them 3 days to get back up and running, they basically cut communication with their customers and that generated so much frustration! So I moved 4 of my sites from their server to yours and 3 days later this happens. However there is a huge difference in how you are going about handling it!!! This forum is like a breath of fresh air, thank you for this communication line!!!

Sorry about this. Yes, these problems do happen. I hate to introduce you to GlowHost this way, but I am glad you can appreciate what we are trying to do here.

When it rains, it pours?

We will get you guys back up and running ASAP, we just need to figure out all the logisics here and again we will keep you up to date right here in this thread.

BTW I have a Professional Three Star package and am on Olga! Poor old Olga - can't you give her a face lift? She sounds like a Russian madame who has outlived her time!

Hi kengele-

Please open a ticket at our helpdesk and we will migrate you to one of the professional shared servers. I am not sure why you were provisioned on olga, but you should not be there and I'd like to see your account migrated to a different machine.

PS- Olga is one of the newest machines in the fleet. She has by far some of the most expensive hardware, and you better be careful because some of the people that work here are from Russia and nearby countries....you might upset someone LOL

She is not as decrepit as her name sounds. Just bad luck it seems

Off peak for the US maybe, but this affects our clients on every corner of the globe. If a globe has corners...
