Mail List Setup Question

Hello everyone.

I'm very new to all of this. I have a website now for my band and want to setup a mail list so I can send email newsletters to our subscribers. I thought I had done this but now wonder if I've done it right. Is there any documentation on how to accomplish this? I don't want anyone to be able to post messages to the list except myself and maybe later the other band members. We're just gonna use it to announce new bookings etc.

I'd appreciate any help anyone might have to offer.

I'm still not seeing any messages passed on to list members. But I think I know why. I do not have an email account setup for the list. I don't remember reading anywhere to do this but shouldn't there be an account setup so that messages sent to "mylist@mydomain" are received? Or does the Mailing List setup handle this?

When you create the list, it creates the email address associated with it.

I tried creating an account (mylist@mydomain) and then deleted it because I'm still not getting postings and it appears nobody else is either.

Should I log a ticket?
